Backerkit Surveys are Now Live for Everyone (Friday, 11/27/20)

Hi all-- I'm happy to report that every Kickstarter backer should now have a survey from Backerkit.

A new development is the printer will be shipping books to our fulfillment partners in multiple countries, which will save backers outside of the US a little money on postage. However, we need to have a better idea of what is going where before we can ship from the printer, so please get the surveys filled out ASAP.

If you have any issues with the surveys, please message us through Kickstarter or email us at [email protected] and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. 

As you may remember from the campaign, we had a 5-card set by Brian Stelfreeze as one of our stretch goals. We didn't hit that goal, but some of you have reached out wanting to buy the set, so we are offering it as an Add-On in the Backerkit store (we've also got some trades, all featuring work by Brian and/or Doug, that you can pick up as well). Back to the card set, they are all 6" x 9" in size, and printed on card-stock paper. I'm posting the images of each card below so you can check them out.

THOMAS RIVER #1 Surveys are on the way via Backerkit

I'm happy to announce that Backerkit has officially approved our surveys and Add-On store, so we are one step closer to delivering the book!

Backerkit just sent out surveys to 5% of our Kickstarter backers, so over the next 24 hours we will be looking for glitches, getting them fixed (if necessary) and then pushing out surveys to everyone by Friday, if all goes well. 

One note that has been brought to our attention by our friends from the NOCTERRA Kickstarter: "if you sign into Kickstarter using your Apple ID, there's a side effect of your email showing up as a relay address (e.g. ######@privaterelay.appleid.com). Sometimes messages go through and other times not." 

Check here for updates about all the surveys going out, and if you don't get yours, please message us or email [email protected] for help. We have already fixed this for one backer who's had the problem in the past and are happy to do it for you too.

THOMAS RIVER #1 is at the printer!

Hello backers! It's been a minute since our last update, but things have been flying around behind the scenes. I'm happy to report that after talking with multiple printers in multiple countries, we finalized our printer a few weeks ago and THOMAS RIVER #1 will be hitting the press in just a few more days.

We did decide to use an overseas printer, but the quality upgrade over what we could get in North America for the same price made it the right choice for this project. We expect to have the books to our fulfilment partner in approximately 5 weeks, and then packaged and out to you! Obviously we will keep you all updated as we know more. 

Regarding the THOMAS RIVER #1 PDF's, they will also be ready for download shortly. This falls on me, but we went with Backerkit to keep the fulfilment process as seamless as possible, and setting up the surveys and Add-On store has required a lot more time than anticipated. Still, we're close, so just hang tight a little longer.

I'm posting a few pics from the printing proof of the book below, just to give you all an idea of how awesome this package will be-- honestly, it's going to look and feel like a mini-graphic novel when all is said and done. I can't wait!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This has been such a fun experience, and we truly do appreciate each and every one of you who have joined us on this journey. We are so proud of THOMAS RIVER and can't wait to hear what you think about it.

We were just under the $40k goal to unlock the Signed Book Plate, but the team had a quick talk and decided to have those printed up, signed, and included with everyone's package when the books ship out, just as another way of thanking the people who have made this campaign a huge success.

As an FYI,  we will be partnering with Backerkit on surveys and fulfillment prep, so be looking for more information on that front in the coming weeks. But for now, please check out the video from Doug and Brian below, while I go have a few celebratory drinks and then sleep for a few days (I'm worn out!).

You could be a police officer, a goon working for the mob, a terrorist, or just a person on the street (Brian’s choice). You’ll also be credited in the book for your role as an ‘extra’ in the comic.
On top of that, you will receive an 11" x 17" Artist's Proof print (1 of 1) of the page where your character is featured, signed and numbered by Brian. Also, you will be credited by name on the Inside Front Cover of the comic for your "role" as a character in the story.
