Only 24 Hours Left in the THOMAS RIVER Kickstarter Campaign-- what a ride so far!

Hi everyone! If you've been following THOMAS RIVER the last 30 days then you know we are almost to the finish line, and it has been quite the adventure for all of us. To all the backers, thank you once again for the overwhelming support.

As I hit send on this update, we are exactly 24 Hours away from the closing bell (4:15 pm EST/1:15 pm PT tomorrow). If you're a follower and have been trying to decide if you want to back the book, time is running out, so please give THOMAS RIVER one more look while you still can.

We've hit some great stretch goals already (8 more pages added to all books, for a total of 48 pages / digital copies of THE RIDE #1, GUN CANDY #1 & #2 / a digital copy of Doug's script to THOMAS RIVER #1), and are very close to the $40k goal, which unlocks a sweet-looking bookplate, signed by Doug & Brian, that will go to all backers who ordered a physical copy of THOMAS RIVER #1.

$35k Stretch Goal Unlocked + Final 3 Days

Great news everyone-- we've unlocked our $35k Stretch Goal, so all backers will be getting a PDF of Doug's script to issue #1 and PDF's of issues #1 & #2 of GUN CANDY (Doug and Brian's first complete mini-series as a creative team together).

The end of this Kickstarter campaign is quickly approaching (Thursday at 4:15pm ET/1:15pm PT); we have some very achievable Stretch Goals ahead of us to unlock, but I can't stress enough how much we need your help to get there. Please share the campaign on social media (especially twitter and Facebook) to help let your friends and followers know about the campaign. The more of them that back us, the more stuff everyone gets. Up next is a signed 6" x 9" book plate. This will fit nicely into your bagged and boarded comic, or you can just slide it into the comic for safe keeping. Once we hit $40k, all backers of a physical book will have this signed book plate shipped with the comics when they go out.

New Item Alert! GUNMETAL Variant Cover

A few weeks ago, Doug, Brian, and I were discussing adding a new item to the campaign – but it had to be something really special. Doug mentioned a metal cover variant, and we all knew immediately that was the ticket. What a perfectly fitting item that’s unlike anything we’ve ever done before. 

You may be asking, "What is a metal cover?" 

Believe it or not, it is exactly what it says it is... the cover to this book will be printed via a special process on an actual brushed aluminum metal sheet. We have tagged this as the GUNMETAL Variant, and have decided to go with a version of the Brian Stelfreeze Cover A art because it just worked perfectly (image below).

It’s taken until now to get this all worked out (finding the right printer, the logistics involved, etc.) but now we’re ready to roll!

We will be offering 100 copies of the ‘Gunmetal’ Variant for $75.00 each. While this might be considered expensive, we have priced it as low as possible (and we believe it’s under market value).

We will also be offering these as part of a few sets, so check those out as well (for example, the 5-Cover set is still available, but the 6-Cover ‘Full Metal Jacket’ set will include the ‘Gunmetal’ cover).

Now, if you’ve already ordered any tier over $500 (Inked Head Sketch / Painted Cover / Drawn Into The Comic) then you will be getting one of the Gunmetal covers at no additional cost as a ‘thank you’ from the team.
