New 12-Gauge Kickstarter Alert - "Jason Pearson's BODY BAGS: Artist's Edition" is Live!

Hi everyone! Keven Gardner here. I'm sending this update to let all the THOMAS RIVER backers know that we went live yesterday with a new Kickstarter campaign honoring one of Brian Stelfreeze's old studio mates and friends, the late Jason Pearson. If funded (and we are already close) backers will get a 12" x 17" Artist's Edition hardcover of Jason's creator owned series, BODY BAGS. Jason was an incredibly talented creator that many of you know from his Marvel and DC work over his long career, but BODY BAGS was his masterpiece. This project is being done as a partnership with Scott Dunbier, the Eisner Award winning creator of the Artist's Edition format that so many know and love. We also have two other books as a part of the campaign: the LOCKED & LOADED sketchbook, and a book called the Artist's Edition+, which contains even more of Jason's behind the scenes work from BODY BAGS.
And the covers for the 3 books we are offering in the campaign...
Please check it out, and if you feel inclined, please help us spread the news.
Thank you!

Hello THOMAS RIVER crew!
First, I apologize if you are getting multiple emails about this new campaign. I know there is crossover from our different projects, but it's a "launch day" thing, and I believe many of you do want to hear about our new books (but I promise this will be all you'll hear from me for a while).
I wanted to reach out and let you know about our new campaign, featuring an original graphic novel by Doug Wagner & Daniel Hillyard, called NARCO.
NARCO is a suspenseful story of murder, love, friendship, and betrayal—a ‘Hitchcockian’ thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to unravel the mystery of ‘who killed Jessica Wright?’ —all while our protagonist tries to keep from being the serial killer’s next victim.
This is a two-book campaign, where we're also offering a deluxe edition hardcover of Doug and Daniel's wildly popular serial killer series, PLASTIC. Here's a link to the campaign, and below that is a really special treat-- the entire first chapter of the NARCO graphic novel that you're getting to read before anyone else:
Finally, from now until tomorrow at 12:12 pm EST, we're offering a free PLASTIC print to all backers.
Thank you for your time and support.

Books start shipping Friday + YUMI!

Very excited to share that we just got confirmation *your* books will start shipping Friday! If all goes according to plan you'll get your tracking# over the weekend, or Monday at the latest. Keep an eye out for an email from Backerkit with your shipping information as soon as your books are moving.
Also, in case you've missed it, our second (successfully funded!) Kickstarter, YUMI: SPY FATALE, BADDIE ROYALE closes Thursday afternoon at 3:30 ET/12:30 PT.
We know the optics aren't great to have a second campaign going before the first one has been filled, but we just didn't expect so many crazy shipping delays with THOMAS RIVER, and had built the campaign launch for Yumi around Valentine's Day-- so we were kind of stuck. We all hoped that since your THOMAS RIVER digital copy had been sent that you at least knew the book was finished and we were trying our best to deliver.
Of course every book we do might not appeal to every one of our fans, but we'd sure love it if you gave YUMI a look. And we're so convinced that many of you will like Doug Wagner and Hoyt Silva's new book, you can read the first 28 pages of the 136 page graphic novel-- right now -- for free, at this link:
Thanks again for all of your support on helping bring the Thomas River character to the world, and we can't wait to hear your thoughts on the comic when it shows up!
Shipping Update

I'll start off with the best news-- as of today the books have arrived at our fulfillment center. First it was COVID-related delays keeping the books in Korea for over a month after they were printed, then for multiple weeks once they arrived in LA-- and then the winter storm hit that caused a 5-day truck delivery to take 2 weeks.
But they have officiallyarrived (happy dance)!
We are in-line behind a few other projects that will go out before ours, but I'm told our books should be shipping to you by this time next week.
Whew.
More to come, but thank you all for being so patient.
Finally, if you haven't done your Backerkit survey, please do so now, as your book will not ship until you confirm your address and finalize shipping: https://thomasriver.backerkit.com/
Backerkit Surveys - Please Complete

We still have a good number of incomplete surveys, so please go to Backerkit and confirm your shipping address. Click this link to have the survey re-sent if you need it: https://thomasriver.backerkit.com/
As mentioned in our last shipping update, the books were unloaded from the boat at the port in Los Angeles and our printer told us they were about to be picked up and sent to our fulfillment partner. Unfortunately we were just informed that they were not released from the port warehouse for shipment as expected, but are hopeful that will happen in the next couple of days. Now that this has been brought to our attention we will be on top of it and keep you posted.
Also, in case you missed it, our new original graphic novel, YUMI: SPY FATALE, BADDIE ROYALE is currently live on Kickstarter. We are very excited about this super-fun action/spy story, and would love for you to check it out. We are *this* close to meeting our funding goal, and you can get on-board starting at just $15!
Finally, if you are looking for another irreverent, chaotic Kickstarter filled with immeasurable amounts of energy, Space Bastards—featuring art from our friend, The Boys’ own Darick Robertson, might be just what you're looking for. It’s a hilarious descent into sci-fi, about mail carrier mercenaries scrambling into space to murder each other in exceedingly inane ways. Highly recommended, and it's down to the last 48 hours, so get it while you can!
